Once the Civil War ended American got back on its feet. The United States became an industrialized society between 1865 to 1920. Although the new changes came with positive impacts on the United States, negative things came with it too. The industrial revolution was the time period when manufacturing over powered agriculture. The many types of changes in the economy and social organization led to the rapid growth of natural resources like coal, iron and oil. The growth of industry made capitalists like Rockefeller and Caregie more powerful than ever. Since the supply and demand went up business owners were harder on theirs workers, making them work for many hours and little waged forced them to start labor unions. In the late 1800s the Americans were affected greatly in cities because of the industrial revolution.
